ZigZag City Guides are self-published travel guides designed for kids and the families exploring cities with them. I took the concept from idea to launch, conducting competitive research, interviewing teachers and families, developing packaging prototypes, art directing original illustrations, securing Kickstarter funding, and establishing wholesale accounts.
Guides have sold in retail stores across the country, including the de Young Museum, the Guggenheim, and Anthropologie.
Each guide comes in a custom box with a foldout map and thirty double-sided city cards covering local history, drawing prompts, reflection questions, and quizzes. Two postcards are included so kids can illustrate something they've seen and mail it to someone they love.
